Mode of action:
Tembotrione is an HPPD-inhibiting herbicide, and it inhibits the enzyme 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase in susceptible weeds. It disrupts carotenoid biosynthesis, which protects chlorophyll from photo-oxidative damage. As a result, weeds typically show rapid bleaching/whitening of leaves, followed by growth cessation and plant death.
The surfactant improves wetting, spreading, and coverage of the herbicide spray on weed foliage, helping enhance uptake and consistency of action.
